Cassandra A. McCullough, MBA

Cassandra McCullough was appointed Chief Executive Officer for the Association of Black Cardiologists, Inc. (ABC) in October 2014.  As CEO, McCullough oversees ABC’s operations, education and awareness campaigns, fundraising initiatives, and strategic alliances.

Prior to this, Cassandra served in multiple roles of increasing responsibility at ABC, including Chief Operating Officer and Director of the Center for Continuing Education & Professional Development. An expert accreditation and regulatory issues, she played an integral role in the development and re-certification status of ABC’s Continuing Medical Education Program.  ABC maintains its Accreditation with Commendation status, the highest designation awarded by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education for exemplary compliance.

Ms. McCullough has more than 25 years experience in the health care industry. Before joining the ABC in 1996, she was on staff at Morehouse School of Medicine in its Continuing Medical Education Division.  Prior to this, she worked in medical office management at Kaiser Foundation Health Plans of Georgia.

Ms. McCullough holds a Masters in Business Administration (Health Care Management) from the University of Phoenix.  She attended Georgia Southern University and received her undergraduate degree from St. Leo University in Business Administration (Management).

Ms. McCullough serves on the board of directors for the National Health Council and is active in a number of professional organizations, including the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education and American Society of Association Executives.
