The StrokePAD Minority Index (the “Index”) is a useful on-line tool for ABC and its constituencies to use in their efforts to educate and create awareness about stroke and peripheral arterial disease (PAD) in minority communities. The Index, prepared by the National Minority Quality Forum (the “Forum”), contains maps and charts presenting a picture of the prevalence of stroke and PAD among minorities living in zip codes where minorities, including African Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders and Native Americans, constitute a majority of the population. The maps and data in the Index are drawn from the Forum’s ACS/Stroke Atlas and Peripheral Arterial Disease Atlas.
